I am the one in black and white, back row. We danced to Shiva's Regal Theme. It was a wonderful experience and a great lesson in getting over body image issues and letting go of being perfect. Lots (maybe 10) co-workers came & my mom & sister.

i love these socks. i got them for 2 other friends so we can all be bad ass together. i am taking care of gary post op... it has been a long 24 hours... it all kind of ran together. he had to have meds every 2-3 hours..

1st day of school.

i love this skirt the most. i found it at the goodwill. i am only working this one day then my husband has surgery and i am off work until the 9th. cause summer vacation wasn't long enough.

New School Year

My first work "meeting" of the year was held at a Christian Camp... Also I love my new socks and won't be able to wear them at regular work, when there are kids around. I am not sure what to do with this blog this school year... I am certainly not going to wear different socks everyday. Since no one but me sees it I think it will just be sparkly thoughts in my head kind of blog. I think I will still take some pictures of socks and outfits as I strive to reach my weight loss goals. I am down 70 pounds and hope to lose the last 20 in the last few months of this year. It would be great to start off 2015 at my goal of 123.
One thing I am noticing and processing more this weight loss (yep i did it 8-10 years ago then gained it all back plus some, total cliche.) is how people treat me different.  How thinness is directly related to "hotness". It is weird. It is also weird how all the sudden ones weight is an Okay conversation starter; "how much weight have you lost?" "are you done? you look thin enough" "are you anorexic now?" (not for 40 more pounds assholes). I want to respond with how much weight have you lost or gained. Tell people wow you are looking pretty fat these days, what have you been doing? or not doing?
I have worked really hard to 1)lose the weight in a healthy way, trying to not engage my eating disorder history, recognizing times of disordered eating thoughts and working through them. 2) i work out, a lot. pretty much every damn day. 3) Really??? why is this a conversation you feel you can have with me.

Starry Night socks, the last Art show of the year, they seemed appropriate.

here is the crazy part, someone had the same socks on as me. that has never happened except the day we plan on wearing our Love socks. I did buy them for her, but she had nothing to do the the art show.

Last Monday. i love these socks, it has been hard to save them all year. they are just over the knee and stay up pretty good, they don't slip down even if they make it over the knee. i had tights on under.

i love these thigh highs. i have been saving them all year. i am glad i saved nice socks for the end of the year. it would suck if i had to wear stupid socks the last 8 days. i really love the classic black and white stripe.... i look forward to wearing them with more frequency next year. i had to sock glue them up. i didn't even try going without.

i like the way these stockings look but they were too big or something. also they got little holes in the sheer part.... yes that is my skin under... it was a long day.

Spaced Out- none work related sock post

i love these socks. i have had them for years, they are space dyed knee highs from sock dreams. they stayed up pretty good and i wore them over off white tights. i am glad i saved some of my favorites for the end of the year when i want to go to work the least and have to go on field trips and such.... good socks just make the day more fun.

day 161 = bike to work day

these are the socks i wore while working today.

These are my bike to work socks. I think I am changing socks when I get to work. Their are a lot of Native kids at my school, we are called the Totems and I am not sure if these are offensive?? I don't know yet. I love them though.  I haven't biked in so long cause I have been lazy or sick or think of some other excuse. I never bike on Fridays because of traffic but it is Bike to Work day and I have missed the last 2, last year my knee was messed up and the year before my bike had been stolen. I am excited, I wish Lacey was as cool as Seattle and I could stop at booths along the way and get free stuff.
